Allen High School

Freshmen start at the Lowery Freshman Center to adjust to high school life before going on to Allen High School, which brings all of Allen’s students under one roof. This gives each student access to all the academic and extracurricular programs offered by the District, earning Silver ranking by US News & World Report.

  • Students can complete advanced academics through the school’s International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs to earn college credit.
  • Collin College has a campus located on-site, allowing students to take dual-credit courses to satisfy requirements both their high school and future college degrees.
  • The Career and Technical Education Center offers students the opportunity to learn skills for future career choices. They can also earn industry standard certifications and receive dual credit for courses taken.
  • A wide variety of top-notch extracurricular and athletic programs are available, with over 40 student clubs for a variety of academic interests, hobbies, and religious and cultural identities.

Allen High School offers a number of special programs, including an advanced culinary arts program with a student-run community bistro; the STEM program, which allows students to spend a semester exploring careers in engineering; and a high-quality arts program with advanced classes in art and theatre.

K-8 Education

Allen ISD’s philosophy is that student success starts at the beginning with a challenging and engaging elementary and middle school curriculum complemented by a wide variety of academic and athletic extracurriculars.

The district is home to 20 schools (17 elementary schools, 3 middle schools) in the K-8 level, and all are built on a foundation of experienced teachers and parent involvement. In fact, 100% of Allen’s teachers meet state standards to be highly qualified.
