RECREATION

We live an active lifestyle.

The City of Allen’s Parks and Recreation Department is a National Gold Medal Award recipient, and for good reason: residents in Allen enjoy nearly 1,200 acres in park land and 57 miles in scenic nature trails.

Parks & Rec Facilities

Allen boasts an extensive parks system that supports a healthy and active lifestyle. Our parks include:

The Golf Club at Twin Creeks

Allen is home to the Arnold Palmer-designed golf course at The Golf Club at Twin Creeks. Mr. Palmer has called the Twin Creeks course as one of the “best courses in the State of Texas,” and “the most peaceful 18-hole course” the seven-time major champion designed. Golf Digest named Twin Creeks one of the Top 10 Best New Daily Fee Courses in Texas. Open to the public, Twin Creeks offers instruction and event rental. Greens fees range from $25 to $49.

The Courses at Watters Creek

Elsewhere in the area, residents and visitors can take advantage of golf at The Courses at Watters Creek. The facility boasts 18-hole, nine-hole and six-hole courses to excite all levels of golfers. Rates range from $12 for a weekday outing on the six-hole Futures Course to $69 for a prime weekend tee time on the 18-hole Traditions course.
